Anonymous asked: does it suck that it's completely uneven, though? or is it meant to be asymmetrical?

Haha, I was waiting for someone to pick up on that. As I said before, the lotus is an exact replica of a drawing from one of my favourite books, ‘Be Here Now’ by Ram Dass. So yes, it is meant to be asymmetrical. I think that’s the beauty of it anyway.

Thank you! I’ll post up a photo when I get home from work, so if you don’t mind waiting 14-ish hours..

Lotus-eater

I got a lotus tattooed on my back today! <3 I wanted something simple and beautiful to represent my spiritual journey, and considering the endless, profound connotations that the lotus flower holds, it seemed the perfect option. The flower itself contains a special ability to self-exist and self-regenerate, signifying, in a spiritual context, the continuity of birth and rebirth. An open blossom represents an evolved consciousness. The Buddhist mantra, ‘Om Mani Padme Hum’ also refers to the lotus. The image I chose is from ‘Be Here Now’ by Ram Dass. The line-work is absolutely stunning and it flows with the contours of my back so naturally. It’s almost as if it has always been there.. Oh, I’m a very happy fox right now! I love you all. Namaste.
